Our Mission

Building Healthier Communities.

Today, the majority of 911 callers do not require emergency level care.

Current State

The 911 system responds to all calls as emergencies, resulting in unnecessary transport, significant ED spend, and an overlooked opportunity to care for patients in pre-hospital settings

Driven By…

EMS reimbursement relies on ambulance transport

87% of EMS calls result in ED transport, regardless of need

A fragmented EMS landscape limits system-wide disruption at scale

Results in system-wide dissatisfaction

Payors are responsible for unnecessary cost and utilization

EMS face challenges providing sustainable resources for their communities

Patients do not receive care that aligns with their needs

The Crosswalk Difference

A scaled network of community-based first responders engage and care for patients with programs built for their communities that meet payor needs

Enables…

Network of EMS agencies to generate impact at scale for our communities and partners

Differentiated, patient-led engagement for those most in need

Needs-matched programs to patients’ networks and existing care programs

Reduction in unnecessary transport and ED utilization

Results in healthier communities

Payors engage hard-to-reach patients while ensuring care is delivered with optimal outcomes

EMS have the resources to engage with their communities and participate in value-based care

Patients receive tailored care pathways that meet their immediate and long term needs
